Nurturing the homebody in me... while I can.
Itās almost summer, which means in a few short weeks Iāll be cozying up to traffic at LAX and getting re-familiar with coast to coast travel. Summer is the time when I get super nostalgic for the east coast. My calendar is so packed I think I have one weekend in LA in the next month and a half?
All this to sayā¦ when Iām home, Iām home. I want to sit around in between these four walls and relish the routine Iāve built. I want to enjoy my couch and my trashy reality tv shows and make cookies before bed. And when I canāt do that, I want to at least make sure coming home still feels like something worth returning to.
Hereās how Iām doing that:
Buying Fresh Flowers
If Iām lucky, Iām taking a trip to the Flower Market in DTLA to buy the best of the best. If Iām short on time, Iām going to Trader Joeās for hydrangeas. Either way, having fresh flowers just livens up my home. It makes me feel like Iāve committed to living fully while Iām here.
Baking
I love a sweet treat and I love a chocolate chip cookie. My friend, Mary Mondanaro, gave me her recipe and I havenāt gone back since. They are surprising easy and beyond incredible. I usually make the dough ahead of time, refrigerate it, and bake 1 cookie per night! Keeps them fresh.

Having a closet full of cozy outfits
I live for a cozy set. And Iāve accumulated a ton of really great ones recently. From Daily Drills to J.Crew, you canāt go wrong with a matching set. I recently got this sweater from Barefoot Dreams (along with a new blanket) and omgā¦ how do they make it so soft?
Prioritizing my routine:
Daily morning walks, tennis on the weeknights, one to two workout classes pre-scheduled so I know theyāre coming and canāt back out. Movement is a non-negotiable, traveling or not.

WORKING: Our TKEES x J.Crew collab is live and doing so well. It was a joy to work on this project and I canāt wait to wear these shoes all summer!
